Mediation or Restoration?

Often family court mediators insist they cannot help save marriages or they would be taking sides with the spouse who wants to save the marriage since most divorces are one sided.
Isn’t pushing the divorce through the system also taking sides with the spouse who wants to break up the marriage?
Which is worse? Are mediators lying and being hypocritical when they side with the spouse who wants to break the covenant?
