Censorship is an essential component of war. Ship and troop locations and movements must be kept secret. Communications must be monitored and spies intercepted. Events, even disasters, must be presented in a favorable light in order to ensure the support of the populace. Disinformation and propaganda are as essential as secrecy.

Nearly ninety years ago, when divorce liberalization was being advocated by feminists, G.K. Chesterton warned in The Superstition of Divorce that undermining the family would imperil civic freedom.

His warning was vindicated recently when Massachusetts family court judge Mary Manzi outlawed a book that criticizes government officials. Manzi herself is sharply criticized in the book but obviously did not recuse herself from the proceeding.

Stolen Vows

If you are like many, you may be awestruck by the stupidity and outrageous insanity of the divorce system in America. Faithful widows and widowers of adultery and divorce are served with falsified restraining orders, robbed of their children and property, then forced to pay support to the unfaithful to the point where it hurts to hear the words, "God Bless America". Child custody is held for ransom by attorneys, and judges and attorneys alike become rich destroying the families of little children.

How did this come about? Stolen Vows helps show how Americans were robbed of justice and the security of marriage.

This book starts with a family court mediator losing her job after making some changes that helped save families from divorce and the judge decided to get rid of her mediation company and replace it with a company outside the county.

Every citizen is violated when the common wedding vows are rendered unenforceable by the courts citing no fault divorce laws.

What this means is that we are not permitted to make a binding marriage agreement on terms compatible with our religious beliefs.

One foundational purpose for marriage is destroyed completely, and that purpose is to establish a secure family foundation that will not be violated or broken. That is, the right of the family to stay together and to enjoy the hard earned shared assets of the family will not be deprived of anyone without reason of fault.

That is a fundamental right respected by every decent government. It is immoral, dishonest, unconstitutional, inhumane and insane that any court or legislature should presume the right to violate those rights, and yet it happens about 3,700 times per day in the United. States.

The family is deprived of its rights and forced to pay for the sins of an unfaithful spouse every day, and so every marriage is threatened with the same possibility. And, as judges and attorneys make money from divorces, there is a strong financial incentive to look the other way and pretend this law is constitutional when in fact it is not.

Many times when people go through a divorce, the court will order secular counseling for the children, and often this will help children and parents cope better with divorce.

As Christians, this can be unnerving when we hear our children seeming to be indoctrinated with the secular notion that divorce is OK, that it is normal for families to break up.
