Prayer for Marriage

Lord, Jesus,

Please bless us with hearts of compassion balanced with wisdom.

Please expose to us where we lack wisdom and compassion for others whether it be for the poor, the lost and unsaved, the widows of adultery and divorce and their children or for those ministering with too little support from your people, Lord.

Lord, Jesus, please if necessary, let us experience the very thing that those for whom we lack compassion experience so that our compassion, love, wisdom for them may be complete.

Lord, Jesus, please bless a hundredfold those who bless the poor, who bless the widows of divorce and adultery and their children and who bless ministries like this one so that their compassion that you developed in them can put the blessings you give them to greater use for others as well.

Lord, Jesus, please break those who can be saved from their lack of compassion. For those who will never be saved, this time on earth will be the only time in all eternity they will have a brief moment to enjoy life, so I do not ask that any trials be brought against them that won't be fruitful either to them or to those around them but that the trials and tribulations be given to those who might be blessed by them and chased from their apathy and pride and lack of compassion.
