Prayer for Marriage

Lord, Jesus,

Please bless us with hearts of compassion balanced with wisdom.

Please expose to us where we lack wisdom and compassion for others whether it be for the poor, the lost and unsaved, the widows of adultery and divorce and their children or for those ministering with too little support from your people, Lord.

Lord, Jesus, please if necessary, let us experience the very thing that those for whom we lack compassion experience so that our compassion, love, wisdom for them may be complete.

For example, for unilateral no fault divorce legislation to be brought down in all 50 states or for mediators to be prohibited from starting divorce mediation until sufficient counseling avenues have been adequately explored by the couple.
